We exhibited at FOODEX JAPAN 2026, held from 10 to 13 March 2026 at Tokyo Big Sight. Together with Pepizo Foods we presented MORUBY — the frozen French fry brand we planned and developed for the Japanese market — in public for the first time, with tastings and product specifications for visitors from across the industry.

Agenda

ABCD Inc. (headquarters: Tokyo; Representative Director and CEO: Tatsuya Shiono) exhibited at FOODEX JAPAN 2026, held over four days from Tuesday 10 to Friday 13 March 2026 at Tokyo Big Sight.

At the show we presented MORUBY for the first time in public — a frozen French fry brand we planned and developed for the Japanese market together with Pepizo Foods LLP, a specialist frozen potato manufacturer in India.

At our booth

At our booth (Hall E6, N78) we offered tastings of MORUBY alongside an explanation of the product specifications, and welcomed visitors from a wide range of industries — restaurants, prepared foods, retail and wholesale.

Across the four days the show drew 3,238 exhibiting companies from 76 countries and regions, and 73,842 visitors.

Product presentation on stage

During the show we presented MORUBY's quality standards and the advantages of sourcing from India on the event stage. The four days brought concrete business discussions with many companies, and made clear how much interest there is in Indian potatoes.

Key specifications of MORUBY

  • Variety: made solely from Santana, a premium European variety
  • Dry matter content: 34±1% (roughly 1.5 times that of product generally distributed in Japan)
  • Colour: golden, rated 0–1 — the highest grade on the USDA colour chart
  • Range: 9mm straight cut, crinkle cut, wedges, hash browns and more

Production is handled by Pepizo (Gujarat, India), with ABCD managing the product design end to end as its partner, to meet the requirements of the Japanese market.

Our thanks to everyone who stopped by the booth.
